Richard Pederson
Senior Technical Advisor
Richard (Dick) Pederson is currently Sr. VP of Global Research at ISCA Inc. Dick has spent the past twenty-five years using olefin metathesis to commercialize metathesis-based products and produce insect pheromones. In 1989, Dick founded TillieChem Inc., where he and Nobel Laureate Robert H. Grubbs, Ph.D. were the original inventors on patents using ruthenium metathesis catalysts to produce insect pheromones. Dick spent nineteen years developing commercial processes using those technologies. In the years before joining ISCA, Dick developed commercially scalable routes (up to 32 metric ton production campaigns) for insect pheromone products and was responsible for identifying qualified commercial manufacturing organizations (CMOs) for pheromone products and assisting in EU and US registrations.
As Senior Technical Advisor of our Scientific Advisory Committee, Dick draws on decades of experience in advancing pheromone technologies from laboratory concepts to global commercialization. Dick contributes expertise in chemistry and semiochemical synthesis to drive innovation and product development. He offers strategic guidance on priorities, production scalability, and regulatory pathways. His leadership and technical vision help ensure that ArcGen Pro continues to deliver pioneering semiochemical solutions that strengthen agriculture and protect environmental health worldwide.
